Or Making Do With What you Have
So earlier this week, I didn’t know what to make. On Tuesday, I didn’t know what I was going to make. I had all the stuff for spaghetti and meatballs but was really not feeling it. I had a slow cooker recipe on hand, but it was too late in the day to start that.
I stared around my kitchen. Left-over tortillas from Sunday’s quesadillas, BBQ sauce for Thursday’s slow cooker meal, frozen chicken patties and fish sticks, along with a couple canned soups. I almost caved to the urge to just go out for dinner. We actually started naming off some places that sounded good. Then, as we discussed Buffalo Wild Wings as an option, I was inspired.
I have sour cream, cheese, and tortillas from the quesadillas. And I have chicken. I popped in the chicken, warmed up the tortillas, and informed the hubby that were going to have Buffalito inspired BBQ chicken taco/wraps. We even added ranch dressing to a couple to change things up. It was so easy and so YUMMY.
Lesson here: Be creative and get inspired by your favorite foods. It’ll save you money and time.
Have you ever had to make do with what was in your kitchen? Tell me about it! Maybe you’ll inspire a dinner post.
